concept
The "POP3" project is a generative tiling experiment that explores the mid-century pop art movement, through the evolutionary lens of the earlier neoplastic movement of architecture and design. Through a subset of rules, each tile generation is unique and limited to 99 primary tiles. The rules which guide each tile is based on a base set of '3'.
3 bubble colors - 3 bubble sizes - 3(2) bubble locations - 3(3) arrays - 3 rays
((3*3)² + ((3*3) + (3*3))) = #POP3
Generative Ruleset
Each tile has the following ruleset which guides its potential creation
canvas size: max 800 x 800px
Square Array: <9
Subset distribution within array: 90 degree rotation of rays 1/4 (25%)
Bubbles:
Location probability: ray connection/ray center 1/6 (16.7%)
Bubble appearance probability: 40%
Bubble size: 1/3r, 2/3r, 3/3r (33.34%)
Bubble color:
hex#0d7adb (33.34%)
hex#edcb13 (33.34%)
hex#f5390a (33.34%)
